First, check whether the device is complete and is

not damaged. If in doubt, do not operate the device

and contact your supplier or service centre.

The scope of delivery includes:

• 1 medisana Foot reexology massager FM 900

• 1 Power supply unit

• 1 Instruction manual

The packaging is recyclable or can be recyc-

led back into the raw materials cycle. Please

dispose of unwanted packaging materials

properly. If damage caused during transport is noted

while unpacking, please contact your retailer imme-

diately.

Read the instruction manual carefully before using

this device, especially the safety instructions and

keep the instruction manual for future use. Should

you give this device to another person, it is vital

that you also pass on these instructions for use.

GB Safety Information

about the power supply

• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure

that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with

your mains supply.

• Only insert the power supply unit into a socket when the appliance

is switched o󰀨.

• Only use the power supply unit supplied for the massager (SAW36-

240-1500G).

• Keep the cable and the appliance away from heat, hot surfaces,

moisture and liquids. Do not touch the mains plug when you are

standing in water and always take hold of the plug with dry hands.

• Appliance components carrying voltage may not come into contact

with liquid.

• Do not take hold of a device if it falls into water. Pull out the power

plug from the socket immediately.

• Connect the unit so that the power supply unit is freely accessible.

• Always switch o󰀨 the appliance after use with the ON-/OFFswitch

and unplug the power supply unit.

• To disconnect the unit from the power supply, always pull the power

supply unit out of the socket. Do not pull on the cable!

• Do not carry, pull or twist the device on the cable.

• You must not continue to use the unit if the lead or the plug are da-

maged.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufac-

turer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid

a hazard.

• Ensure that the cable will not cause tripping. The cable must not be

kinked, trapped or twisted.

complaints: Circulation disorders, varicose veins, open

wounds, bruises, broken skin, inammation of the veins.

• Do not use the appliance near your eyes or near any other sensitive

areas.

• If you experience any pain or discomfort during the massage, stop

immediately and consult your doctor.

• The appliance has a heated surface. Persons insensitive to heat

must be careful when using the appliance.

• Before using the massager, consult your doctor regarding any un-

explained pain, if you are undergoing medical treatment or using

medical equipment.

• Check the plug, cable and massager carefully for damage before

each use. Do not attempt to use a defective unit.

• Do not use the appliance if it, or the power cord show signs of da-

mage, if it is not in perfect working order, or if it has been dropped or

become damp. In order to prevent hazards, always send the unit in

to the service centre.

operating the unit

• The device must only be used for its intended purpose as described

in the instruction manual.

• Using the unit for any other purpose invalidates the warranty.

• Only use the appliance in the proper way as described in this user

manual. The appliance is not designed to support your full

body weight!

• Do not use the appliance while you are asleep or when you are lying

in bed.

• Do not use the appliance before going to sleep. The massage has

a stimulating e󰀨ect.

• Never use the appliance while driving a vehicle or operating a ma-

chine.

• The maximum operating time for one session is 15 minutes. Prolon-

ged use reduces the service life of the appliance.

• Very long periods of use can lead to overheating. So after conti-

nuously operating for 15 minutes, user should stop it for at least 15

minutes before using it again.

• Never put the unit down next to an electric stove or other sources

of heat.

• Never leave the unit unattended if it is connected to the power sup-

ply.

• Do not allow the appliance to come into contact with pointed or

sharp objects.

• Do not cover up the appliance when it is switched on. Never use it

under blankets or cushions. There is a risk of re, electric shock or

injury.

• The unit is maintenance free. If a fault does occur, just check wheth-

er the mains power supply is properly connected.

• You may only clean the device yourself. If the device malfunctions

please do not repair it yourself as this leads to the automatic expiry

of all guarantee rights.

• Ask your specialist dealer and have repairs carried out by the ser-

vice only.

• Do not immerse the device in water or other uids.

• If, nonetheless, liquid should penetrate the device, unplug the mains

cable immediately.

What is the foot reexology massager FM 900 used for?

The medisana foot reexology massager FM 900 is suitable for in-

tensive foot reex zone massage and o󰀨ers 2 di󰀨erent functionalities

for this purpose:

- Air pressure massage for the back of the foot and

- Acupressure point massage for the sole of the foot using gentle

acupressure point-massage heads, inspired by traditional Chinese

medicine therapy (TCM)

The switchable heat function promotes relaxation, activates the circu-

latory system and has a pleasant e󰀨ect on muscle areas. The device

switches o󰀨 automatically after 15 minutes.

• The device is not to be used for commercial use or

medical purposes. If you have health concerns, con-

sult your doctor before using the device.

• Only use the massager indoors.

• Do not use the massager in damp rooms (e.g. when

bathing or showering).

Make sure that the packaging lms do not get into the hands

of children! There is a danger of su󰀨ocation!

Make sure that the maximum operating time of 15 minutes is

not exceeded!

CAUTION

The foot massage

Place the unit on the oor in front of a comfortable chair so that it can-

not tip over and plug the power supply unit into a power socket.

2. The unit starts with the lowest intensity level of the acupressure

point and air pressure massage, indicated by an illuminated LED

above the setting keys

3. Setting the intensity of the acupressure point massage: By repea-

tedly pressing key

, you can set the intensity of the acupressure

point massage (level 1 = low; level 2 = high). The LEDs indicate

the corresponding level set.

4. Setting the intensity of the air pressure massage: By repeatedly

pressing key

, you can set the intensity of the air pressure mas-

sage (level 1 = low; level 2 = medium; level 3 = high) or switch

o󰀨 the air pressure massage completely. The LEDs indicate the

corresponding level set.

5. The heating function can be switched on or o󰀨 using key

the heat is activated, the red indication light in the key lights up.

6. You can switch o󰀨 the appliance at any time by pressing the ON/

OFF button

. After 15 minutes, the appliance switches o󰀨 au-

tomatically. Let the appliance cool down for at least 15 minutes

before using it again.

Cleaning and care

• Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that the appliance is

switched o󰀨 and the power supply is disconnected.

• Allow the unit to cool down.

• Clean the massager with a slightly damp sponge only. Never use

brushes, aggressive cleaning agents, petrol, thinners or alcohol.

Rub the unit dry with a clean dry cloth.

• Never immerse the appliance in water to clean it and ensure water

cannot get into the appliance.

• Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.

• Undo any kinks in the cable.

• Take care to roll up the mains lead to avoid damaging it.

• You should ideally store the device in its original packaging and

keep it in a clean, dry place.

Disposal

This product should not be disposed of together with domestic

waste. Please hand in all electrical or electronic devices at a

municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be

disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Consult

your municipal authority for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim

under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a

copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for medisana products is 3 years from date of

purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to

be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of

charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either

for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g.

non-observance of the user instructions.

b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the

customer or unauthorised third parties.

c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the

manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the

service centre.

d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the

unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a

warranty claim.
