Troubleshooting

A connected device is not charging (the white

LED in the housing does not light up).

♦ No connection to the car's cigarette lighter

socket. Check the connection.

♦ Depending on the vehicle type, it is possible that

the ignition has to be switched on first.

The white LED in the appliance housing goes

out when a device is connected.

♦ The charger is overloaded and will no longer

charge attached devices. The internal overcurrent

protection has been triggered. Disconnect all

connected devices from the charger. The white

LED lights up immediately and the charger is

ready for use.

NOTE

If you cannot solve the problem with the above-

mentioned solutions, please contact the Service

Hotline (see section "Service").

Cleaning and storage

IMPORTANT

► Always disconnect the device from the 12/24 V

connection when cleaning and when it is not

being used.

► Temperatures inside the vehicle can reach

extreme levels in summer and winter. Therefore,

to avoid damage to the device, do not store it in

the vehicle.

► Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based

cleaning materials. These can damage the

surfaces of the device.

▯ When necessary clean the device with a soft cloth.

▯ Store the device somewhere clean, dry, free of

dust and out of direct sunlight.

Disposal

The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie

bin means that this device is subject to

Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states

that this device may not be disposed of in the normal

household waste at the end of its useful life, but must

be handed over to specially set-up collection

locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.

This disposal is free of charge for the user.

Protect the environment and dispose of this

device properly.

You can obtain further information from your local

disposal company or the city or local authority.

Dear Customer,

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the

date of purchase. If this product has any faults, you,

the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory

rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty

described below.

Warranty conditions

The validity period of the warranty starts from the

date of purchase. Please keep your original receipt in

a safe place. This document will be required as proof

of purchase.

If any material or production fault occurs within three

years of the date of purchase of the product, we will

either repair or replace the product for you at our

discretion. This warranty service is dependent on you

presenting the defective appliance and the proof of

purchase (receipt) and a short written description of

the fault and its time of occurrence.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product

will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair

or replacement of a product does not signify the be-

ginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims

for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs

effected under the warranty. This also applies to

replaced and repaired components. Any damage

and defects present at the time of purchase must be

reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs car-

ried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be

subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in accordance

with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticu-

lously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production

faults. The warranty does not extend to product parts

subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such

as switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made

of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has been

damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained.

The directions in the operating instructions for the

product regarding proper use of the product are to

be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are dis-

couraged in the operating instructions or which are

warned against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and

not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be

deemed void in cases of misuse or improper han-

dling, use of force and modifications / repairs which

have not been carried out by one of our authorised

Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your case, please

observe the following instructions:

■ Please have the till receipt and the item number

(e.g. IAN 12345) available as proof of purchase.

■ You will find the item number on the type plate,

an engraving on the front page of the instructions

(bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom

of the appliance.

■ If functional or other defects occur, please contact

the service department listed either by telephone

or by e-mail.

■ You can return a defective product to us free of

charge to the service address that will be provided

to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of pur-

chase (till receipt) and information about what the

defect is and when it occurred.

duct. These operating instructions are a part of this

product. They contain important information in regard

to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,

as a reference and store them near the product. In

addition, pass these documents on, together with the

product, to any future owner.

Intended use

The car charger adapter is a car accessory that is

compatible with the vehicle socket. It is designed

solely for charging mobile phones and 5 V devices

with a USB port. The car charger adapter is suitable

only for vehicles in which the negative terminal of the

battery is connected to the bodywork. Their Smart

Fast Charge technology reduces the charging times of

compatible devices. Compatible connected devices

automatically receive the signal to draw the maximum

available charging current. Any other use or usage

beyond those mentioned is considered improper use

and can result in damages and injuries. Claims of

any kind for damages resulting from improper use or

unauthorised modifications will not be considered.

This product is intended for private use only and not for

commercial applications.

Safety instructions

■ Before use check the device for visible external

damage. Do not put into operation a device that

is damaged or has been dropped.

■ Damaged cables or connections should be replaced

by authorised qualified specialists or by the customer

service department.

■ Protect the device from moisture and liquid pen-

etration.

■ Never subject the device to extreme heat or humidity.

This applies especially when storing in a car. With

long periods of immobilisation car interiors and

glove boxes build up extreme heat levels. Remove

electrical and electronic devices from the car.

■ This device is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with restricted physical, sensory

or mental abilities or lack of experience and / or

knowledge unless, of course, they are supervised

by a person responsible for their safety or obtain

from that person instructions on how the device is

to be used. Children should be supervised to make

sure that they do not play with the device.

DANGER! Do not allow children to play with

the packaging material! Keep all packaging mate-

rials away from children. Risk of suffocation!

DANGER! Some of the supplied parts can be

swallowed. If a part is swallowed, seek medical

advice as soon as possible.

■ Do not operate the appliance if you are driving

a car or other vehicle. This presents a source of

danger in road traffic.

■ When using the car charger, ensure that it does

not interfere with the steering, braking or the op-

eration of other vehicle systems (such as airbags)

and does not restrict your field of view when

driving.

■ Do not place the car charger or the connection

cable in or near the expansion area of the airbag,

since the charger could be flung through the vehi-

cle interior in the event of airbag deployment and

cause serious injuries.

■ If you notice a burning smell or smoke coming

from the device, disconnect it from the power sup-

ply immediately.

■ Never open the housing. Opening the housing will

invalidate the warranty.

damages. If the package contents are incomplete

or are damaged as a result of defective packaging

or during transportation get in touch with the Service-

Hotline (see section "Service"). Remove all packaging

materials from the device.

Operation

Unpack the charging device and all adapters and look

for the adapter suitable for your mobile phone.

IMPORTANT

► Note the specifications of your mobile phone!

Mobile phones with a supply voltage of less

than 5 V can be damaged by charging via the

corresponding adapter. In this case, use the

original connecting cable supplied with your

mobile phone and connect it to the USB port of

the charger.

To charge an iPhone / iPod, use the original cable

with the USB port. First check to make sure that the

adapter fits.

NOTE

► Do not apply excessive force thus avoiding

damage to the connector. This also applies

when removing the connector.

▯ Now plug the charging device into the 12/24 V

power socket of your car. As a rule this is the ciga-

rette lighter socket in the dashboard of your car.

Numerous vehicles have a second socket in the

rear seat area or in the boot. 24 Volt batteries are

used, primarily, in trucks or on boats.

▯ The white LED in the housing indicates that the

charger is ready for use. It also lights up when no

mobile phone is connected. Depending on the

vehicle type it is possible that the ignition has to

be switched on first. The charging process begins

immediately and is shown in your mobile phone’s

display.

▯ When your mobile phone shows a fully charged

battery remove the charging device from the

12/24 V connection. Remove the charging device

only by grasping the plug never pull it out by the

power cord.

IMPORTANT

► Never connect the device without charging your

mobile phone! The device also consumes power

in standby mode and therefore must be discon-

nected from the on-board power supply after

use! If the motor is not running the battery will

otherwise be discharged.

Betjening

Pak opladeren og alle adaptere ud, og find den

adapter, som passer til din mobiltelefon.

OBS

► Se specifikationerne på din mobiltelefon! Mobil-

telefoner med en tilslutningsspænding under 5 V

kan beskadiges ved opladning med adapteren.

Brug i stedet mobiltelefonens originale tilslut-

ningskabel, og slut den til opladerens USB-port.

Ved opladning af en iPhone/iPod skal det originale

tilslutningskabel anvendes med USB-porten.

Kontrollér først om adapteren passer.

BEMÆRK

► Brug ikke for mange kræfter, da tilslutningen

ellers kan beskadiges. Det gælder også, når

du tager adapteren ud.

▯ Sæt nu opladeren i 12/24 V-tilslutningen i bilen.

Det er som regel cigarettænderen i bilens instru-

mentbræt. Mange biler har endnu en tilslutning

ved bagsædet eller i bagagerummet. 24 volts

batterier anvendes i lastbiler eller på både.

▯ Den hvide LED i kabinettet viser, at opladeren er

driftsklar, og den lyser, når der ikke er tilsluttet en

mobiltelefon. Tændingen skal muligvis aktiveres

først afhængigt af biltypen. Opladningen begyn-

der med det samme og vises i mobiltelefonens

display.

▯ Når mobiltelefonen viser et fuldt opladet batteri,

skal opladeren tages ud af 12/24 V-tilslutningen.

Hold kun på stikket, når opladeren tages ud, og

træk aldrig i kablet.

OBS

► Slut aldrig produktet til uden at oplade mobil-

telefonen! I hviletilstand bruger produktet også

strøm, og det skal derfor afbrydes fra strømfor-

syningen efter brug! Ellers aflades batteriet, hvis

motoren ikke er tændt.

Fejlsøgning

Den tilsluttede enhed oplades ikke (den hvide

LED i kabinettet lyser ikke)

♦ Ingen forbindelse til cigarettænderen.

Kontrollér forbindelsen.

♦ Tændingen skal muligvis aktiveres først afhængigt

af biltypen.

Den hvide LED i kabinettet slukkes, når der

tilsluttes en enhed

♦ Opladeren er overbelastet og oplader ikke de

tilsluttede enheder længere. Den interne over-

strømssikring er udløst. Frakobl alle de tilsluttede

enheder fra opladeren. Den hvide LED lyser med

det samme, og opladeren er klar til brug igen.

BEMÆRK

► Hvis du ikke kan løse problemet ved hjælp af

ovenstående råd, bedes du henvende dig til

service-hotline (se kapitlet "Service").

Rengøring og opbevaring

OBS

► Afbryd produktet fra 12/24 V-tilslutningen før

rengøring, og når det ikke bruges længere.

► Temperaturen inde i bilen kan stige og falde

til ekstreme temperaturer om sommeren og om

vinteren. Opbevar derfor ikke produktet i bilen,

så skader på bilen undgås.

► Brug ikke rengøringsmidler, der er ætsende,

skurende, eller som indeholder opløsnings-

midler. De kan angribe produktets overflader.

▯ Rengør produktet med en blød, tør klud.

▯ Opbevar produktet et rent, tørt og støvfrit sted

uden direkte sol.

Bortskaffelse

Det viste symbol med den overstregede

affaldscontainer på hjul viser, at dette

produkt er underlagt direktivet 2012/19/EU.

Dette direktiv angiver, at produktet ikke må bortskaffes

med det normale husholdningsaffald, når dets brugstid

er slut, men skal afleveres på specielt indrettede

indsamlingssteder, genbrugspladser eller bortskaffel-
